What to expect…
Using the breath, movement, and body listening techniques I shall assess you as a whole, working sensitively to notice your breath cycle, spine mobility, posture, foot strength, and gait. From here we shall explore what happens to your body when it is put into motion. Any areas I sense/you sense that come into awareness, shall be acknowledged & released where appropriate using a combination of touch therapies & movement techniques.

How can it help…?
Physically, mentally, emotionally, all three!
The internal diversity of every being on this planet is limitless, as are the possibilities of outcomes. Bringing awareness & release to that which holds us back physically, mentally or emotionally through our body's subtle reactions will be personal to you.

"…enabling my breath and movements to gain awareness and coordination, I increasingly seem to be breaking old pain-provoking patterns."

"I really feel something has shifted in my relationship with my body.."

How does it work…?
Have you heard of the 'bodymind' and how our early experiences form the way we hold ourselves, how we move and relate to others and our lives? Well, these embodiments of our experiences are called somatic imprints. The following text may help you to understand:
'The somatic nervous system plays a vital role in initiating & controlling the movements of your body. The system is responsible for nearly all voluntary muscle movements, as well as for processing sensory information that arrives via external stimuli, including hearing, touch, & sight'.(1)

The Body('s)Mind is an archive of experiences and memories; using Holistic Body Centred Therapy we are able to uproot patterns of movement that inhibit not only our mobility but also our breath, our psyche and our ability to let go of that which no longer serves us well. In this process, we have the potential to ‘break old pain-provoking patterns.’ whether they be physical, emotional, or even something we are yet unaware of
